$10 Million Authorised For Lebanese Southerners Affected By Israeli Assaults

In a big transfer, the Council for South Lebanon has sanctioned roughly $10 million in compensations for residents of South Lebanon adversely affected by the Israeli bombardments since October 8.

This approval materialized in Wednesday’s caretaker Cupboard session, following a two-day dialogue between caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah, as reported by al-Akhbar newspaper.

The compensation plan outlines substantial funds: house owners of destroyed houses will obtain $40,000 every, distributed in three installments, whereas house owners of partially broken houses are entitled to $11,000 every.

Furthermore, people injured and households of the deceased will obtain quantities various from $10,000 to $20,000. Moreover, the scheme consists of compensations for broken automobiles, livestock, and crops, confirmed by Hashem Haidar, head of the Council for South Lebanon.
