Geagea Says Authorities Declare They’re Being Prevented From Investigating Hasrouni’s Homicide

Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea is deeply dissatisfied with authorities claiming they face main hurdles in investigating the kidnapping and tragic killing of LF member Elias Hasrouni.

In a message directed to caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, caretaker Minister of Inside Bassam Mawlawi, caretaker Minister of Justice Henri Khoury, and State Prosecutor Ghassan Oueidat, Geagea emphasised the truth that the LF has persistently requested for updates on the investigation’s progress.

But, they’ve obtained the identical response every time: authorities are encountering obstacles that hinder their progress.

Geagea deemed this case as wholly unacceptable. He urged the necessity for decisive motion from Mikati, Mawlawi, Khoury, Oueidat, and the esteemed investigative judges.

Their duty, Geagea argued, is to make sure that the investigation is allowed to proceed with none additional obstructions. He pressured that that is essential not only for the sake of justice but in addition for uncovering the reality behind the assassination of a Lebanese citizen.

In doing so, they might not solely uphold the rules of justice but in addition ship a robust message in regards to the dedication to transparency and accountability.
