Reuters Iraq Bureau Chief reported this morning that the U.S. Treasury has sanctioned former Lebanese central financial institution governor Riad Salameh, alongside together with his brother Raja, his son Nadi, his aide Marianne Howayek and his lover Anna Kosakova. Al Arabiya additionally confirmed the story and referred to a discover posted on the Treasury Division web site.
This comes just one week after Salameh left workplace. All are suspected of cash laundering.
